Their website says “The World’s Greatest Outdoor Bookstore” and perhaps it is. There aren’t too many outdoor bookstores in my neck of the woods (Cincinnati). I certainly recommend checking it out if you are in the neighborhood of Ojai, California. Very cool indeed. You may even spy a “celebrity” or two while there. They have… Continue reading Bart’s Books, Ojai, California

Sky Bridge at Sunset
The Sky Bridge is in the Red River Gorge Geological Area of Eastern Kentucky. This area contains the highest concentration of natural arches in the Eastern United States. It is also a haven for rock climbers and hikers. Located in Powell County, Ky. There are lots of great places to visit there.
On Chimney Top
Chimney Top is a formation in the Red River Gorge, KY. Here it looks like a large rock ship plowing it’s way through the green ocean of the forest. You can see Half Moon Rock off in the distance. If you like interesting rock formations, hiking, rock climbing, etc. this is the place to visit.

The aquaduct carries the restored canal boat “Ben Franklin” with passengers over the Duck Creek. There are a lot of small shops and galleries… Continue reading Metamora, Historic Canal Town
Abandoned Bridge, Cedar Grove, Indiana
I remember riding in our car across this bridge when I was a child. Time and neglect has taken it’s toll. Now it stands in silent decay as canoeists drift through it’s shadows on the lazy Whitewater River. I have another more recent pano of this bridge here.
Abandoned Bridge, Mt. Airy Forest
Deep in the heart of Mt. Airy forest lies this abandoned concrete bridge from an old roadway that has since been cut off by the construction of I-74 through the forest. My guess is that it carried an access road from West Fork Rd. into the park. Now no signs of the road but a… Continue reading Abandoned Bridge, Mt. Airy Forest
